As a result of the Excellence in Cities Initiative, Pleckgate High School is host to a £1.2 million City Learning Centre. The CLC provides state of the art ICT facilities and a modern, welcoming environment for partner schools across the LEA, local businesses and the wider community.
Some of the Major features of Pleckgate CLC are:
- Broadband Internet connection for fast, reliable access to email during meetings or training sessions.
- Dozens of high-spec PC's throughout the building to accommodate training sessions from one to one to a maximum of 32 delegates per room.
- Standard Microsoft software on every PC and other software packages available to experiment with and evaluate.
- Interactive whiteboards for multi media presentations and audio visual facilities
- Easy to use Video conferencing for both local and global links
- Digital projection and computer imaging facilities
- Private meeting areas including a conference room/lecture theatre, ICT suite, small training room and boardroom for main meetings and breakfast sessions, all equipped with the usual facilities such as flip charts and digital overhead projectors.
- Full Customer support to ensure your booking and event runs smoothly, including secretarial/technical support and access to photocopying and fax
- Exhibition space for small shows and launch events and flexible staging
- Café area for refreshment breaks during meetings
- Executive catering tailored to your requirements, light lunch, full buffet or hot meal and refreshments which can be served in the café area or in your meeting area
